Retrofit Evaluation

Retrofit Evaluation

Measuring performance, identifying issues, and closing the feedback loop.

A Retrofit Evaluator plays a key role in ensuring that completed projects deliver on their intended outcomes. They gather and summarise feedback from the client and occupants, recommend any necessary remedial actions or improvements, and share their findings with the full delivery team – including the Retrofit Coordinator, Assessor, Designer, and Installer.

This process ensures transparency, continuous improvement, and accountability across every retrofit project.

Levels of Monitoring and Evaluation

Monitoring is applied in three stages, depending on the scale and complexity of the project:
  • Basic Monitoring – carried out on every completed domestic retrofit, ensuring outcomes align with the original plan.
  • Intermediate Monitoring – used when basic monitoring reveals unexpected results or unintended consequences that require further investigation.
  • Advanced Monitoring – applied when intermediate findings show a significant discrepancy between predicted and actual performance, or where issues require deeper analysis.

Each level ensures that retrofit outcomes are measured, understood, and optimised – protecting both property and occupant experience.
